The Clerk of Superior Court of Fayette County Print

Welcome to the site of the Clerk of Superior Court of Fayette County. Our goal is to make this website user-friendly and to make all documents from this office accessible through the website. We continually strive to provide Fayette County residents with the highest level of professional public service.

The Clerk of the Superior Court is a Constitutional Officer, which means the position was created by an act of the Legislature in the State Constitution. The Clerk of the Superior Court has been a county Constitutional Officer since the framers of the Georgia Constitution of 1798 provided for election of the Clerk of Superior Court in each Georgia county. The Clerk is elected every four years.

The Clerk's role is as keeper of the records. The Clerk is responsible for protecting the integrity of public records and public funds, establishing an index and issuing every paper under the court seal.

I have served as your Clerk of Courts since my election to office in 2000, and I work for you - the citizens of Fayette County.

As your Clerk of Superior Court, I serve as Clerk to the State and Magistrate Courts, as well as Drug Court. I have the same function in  those courts and am solely responsible for maintaining the integrity of the court's  records and funds.

I also serve as Pro Hac Clerk of Courts for Peachtree City, Fayetteville and Tyrone for all city ordinance violations.

I serve as Clerk to the Fayette County Jury Commission, as well. As the jury clerk, I assist the commission in maintaining a balanced jury pool or 'box'.

In January, I will take the oversight of the Board of Equalization.

I look forward to serving you as Fayette County's Clerk of Courts each day. If  you need assistance, please contact me or anyone else in the Clerk's office. We will be glad to help you in anyway we can.

We are located on the first floor of the Fayette County Justice Center at 1 Center Drive in Fayetteville.
